I'm a mousse foundation girl, but I do have a favourite liquid foundation: Nivea Ideal Finish in the shade ivory.

Seeing as my small stash of this product was almost running out I headed to the drugstore for a new one. But my eyes landed on a new Bourjois collection called flower perfection. I completely fell for the statements: perfect finish, youthful, soft,...
I picked the brightest shade available (52). The lightest shade is 51.

When I applied it the first time I may have been inappropriately expecting a dewy light pink result, while in reality the foundation came over a bit yellow. First I thought it made me look slightly ill, but maybe it was just me. The sponge is of no use at all I think, very unhandy (too small to manoevre). The texture came over as slightly oily, but in the meantime very light, blendable, not as bright as Nivea in ivory shade, but still light. With a bit of translucent powder it looked quite nice. I didn't need a lot and together with the powder it looked quite nice. I do think that it's quite yellow, I felt like I needed a lot of blush to get some life back in my cheeks.
I wanted to go for a winter elf look, you know when you have very light skin and then these sexy pink cheeks and lips with a dark liner. I don't think I can achieve it with this foundation, no matter how youthful, fresh and light in shade as it may be. Next time I'm just getting Nivea. Can't teach a new dog old tricks! ;)
